The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation is pleased to announce the addition of Andrea Morris as the Interim Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations. A charismatic, seasoned professional, she hails from UMD’s College of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences, where she worked for over 12 years in development and outreach. She has a personal interest in the programs of MAPP, having worked as the CEO of the nonprofit housing provider Friendship Place, in the District of Columbia, prior to her arrival at UMD, among other positions in the nonprofit sector associated with housing and planning.
In her new role, Andrea will work to engage MAPP alumni and friends with various enjoyable activities that have interesting content, are unique experiences, build pride in MAPP and/or facilitate career networking.
“I am excited to join such a terrific community,” said Andrea. “I look forward to working with Interim Dean Don Linebaugh, Associate Dean for Development and Faculty Affairs Brian Kelly and the other directors, faculty, staff and students.”
