The 2017 U.S. Department of Energy’s Solar Decathlon Competition takes place in Denver, Colorado, in October. UMD’s entry, reACT—whic stands fhor reactive adaptive climate technology—features a modular home that minimizes resource consumption and maximizes occupant comfort through a functional model and automation and will be competing against colleges from around the world.
In order to compete in this event, approximately 30 core team members will need to be in Denver for just under 30 days. To make that happen, the team is asking for your help to cover travel expenses (plane tickets, lodging and meals). Your generous donations will allow the UMD team get to Denver and proudly construct and display reACT in the Solar Village. Every donation counts—and we appreciate any contribution you can make!
