This event is open to the MAPP Community only

Join students and faculty across the MAPP disciplines for a night of friendship, fun and intellectual challenge.

At NOMAS Debate Night, students will come together to debate emerging ideas in Architecture, Historic Preservation, Urban Planning and Real Estate Development. Topics will be suggested by student liaisons and professors from each department and assigned on Debate Night. Some examples might include: L'enfant’s DC city grid vs. Le Corbusier’s Chandigarh city grid for Planning, Smart Home Development Pro vs. Con for Real Estate Development, the benefits and drawbacks of AI for Architecture and the Coexistence of Preservation and Progress for Historical Planning.

NOMAS E-Board will facilitate debates, assisting teams and providing structure using a predetermined format. Audience members will have a chance to learn, engage and participate in final judgment alongside faculty representatives. Let’s open our minds, sharpen our presentation skills, and learn together through an evening of amicable discussion!
