Text from AIA Potomac Valley
Global stakeholders recently departed Glasgow after spending two weeks at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26), negotiating updated commitments under the Paris Agreement to address climate change. AIA had a significant presence at COP26, joining hundreds of other world leaders, NGOs, activists and citizens pushing for an ambitious outcome. This webinar will present a first-hand perspective on COP26 and its outcomes, and will address the role of architecture at COP26 and, moving forward, in abating the effects of climate change.
This course will be presented by one of AIA Potomac Valley’s leading citizen architects, Carl Elefante, FAIA and former President of AIA National, AIA Maryland, and AIA Potomac Valley. Carl will share his insights from spending two weeks in Glasgow in the midst of COP26 activities.
