Forest and Architecture [Land8x8]

Gallery Talk: Monday, November 17th, 5pm, Kibel Gallery. Reception to follow.

Table in Rome 2: Forum as Planted Field is an art installation funded by a University of Maryland Creative and performing Arts Award that involves interactive sculpture and descriptive architectural drawings.

The exhibition is part 2 of a series that deals with both ancient and modern Rome and expands the definition of Table to become not only the flat surface where we sit and eat food, but also the conversation, and the larger urban and architectural constructs that support food eating and the communal activities that go along with it.

Join us for a desert reception on November 17, 2014 at 5pm with biscotti (pine nut cookies), a Roman treats. At the reception we will also be showing and discussing recordings of how the exhibit has been interacted with throughout the semester by viewers.
