The bar was raised at this semester's capstone event! On December 12, twelve students presented their capstones to a panel of impressed judges. Charishma Hunjan took home the 1st place prize of $1,000 for her Westin at Seattle-Tacoma Airport in Seattle, WA. Her plan proposed a new hotel and meeting destination offering a full service hotel, meeting space and health club. Second place and a $500 prize went toDaniel Moreno-Holt for his Riverwalk Plaza development in Salisbury, MD which included a library, performing arts center, apartments and a retail frame on the waterfront. The third place prize of $250 went to Ernestine Hurtt for her Hollins Plaza development in Baltimore, MD. Ernestine presented Baltimore's newest food market and entertainment destination with a renovated public market and 21 renovated affordable townhomes. And Wade Cassamajor was recognized with the honorable mention award. His Towers at Cottage City development in Prince George's County, MD is a 288-unit affordable housing project with one senior residential building and one family residential building.
