John Junior Abu
John Junior Abu is a graduate student in the Community Planning program at the University of Maryland. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Planning and a Master’s degree in Land Governance and Policy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana. His academic background and research interests focus on the intersection of urban land management and the human-environment nexus.
With a strong passion for advancing sustainable development at various scales, John is particularly interested in how urban planning policies shape the built environment and the potential of smart city concepts to foster innovation in urban development. His goal is to contribute to the development of equitable and resilient cities that promote sustainable growth and improve the quality of life.
