Riverwalk Plaza

Riverwalk Plaza establishes Salisbury’s heart at the intersection of historic Main Street and the Wicomico Riverwalk. A library, a 40,000 SF performance center, 180 apartments, and 6,000 SF of retail frame a waterfront plaza. This civic green, located along a low-lying flood zone, utilizes bioretention areas and wetlands to improve the river’s ecology. The architecture weaves Salisbury’s past and present through a modern design that takes cues from historic Main Street. By creating a vibrant hub at the heart of downtown, Riverwalk Plaza will jump start revitalization, improve the river’s ecology, and provide much needed civic amenities.
