Building on Community: Recognizing the Potential of Bangkok's Informal Neighborhoods

Building on Community: Recognizing the Potential of Bangkok's Informal Neighborhoods is a result of a collaboration between Gensler and an international study abroad studio comprised of students from UMD's Architecture Program, the University of Pennsylvania and two Thai Universities. The students were tasked to develop a community center and housing solution for low-income communities within Bangkok. With a series of first-hand accounts, it not only documents the conditions found int he communities, but also offers individual insights and personal experiences of students.
