Commercial Real Estate Broker

Newmark (NMRK) is one of the largest publicly traded commercial real estate company's in world. Located in Washington, D.C. a highly successful tenant representation team is looking to expand by bringing on a Jr Broker. We are looking for an Associate who is high-energy, entrepreneurial, competitive, intelligent, action-oriented and learns quickly. The ideal candidate will have excellent time management, organizational and communication skills – in order to both sell and deliver real estate services for Tenants in office buildings.

• Jr Broker Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Prospect for new business and to generate new business meetings
• Learn the intricacies of the Washington, DC real estate market
• Become knowledgeable on Newmark services and basic concepts of tenant representation
• Establish and maintain database for tracking prospects
• Conduct web-based research of prospects
• Make 70 prospecting phone calls daily to potential clients
• Engage with industry, professional and charitable associations to build relationships
• Develop sales strategies and follow-up materials
• Assist Senior team members in providing real estate services to their clients
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

A qualified Jr Broker will possess the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• One to five years related work experience preferred (in sales or real estate)
• Strong personal initiative and desire to succeed in a demanding, entrepreneurial environment
• Ability to multi-task effectively, organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to work well individually and in a collaborative team environment
• High level of excellence in both written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
• Consistently demonstrate a high level of performance and professionalism with a positive perspective
• Real estate salesperson license or willingness to obtain one
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
