Your Talent: Share your story! We are eager to learn what our MAPP+D alumni are up to. Tell us about your job, how you have navigated your career, and what unexpected roles you took on. Tell the MAPP Communications Team at mapp-communicate@umd.edu your story, and we'll be in touch. We may even post it on the MAPP+D website and social media.
Alumni to Student Advisor
Your Time: One to four hours/semester
Your Talent: Everyone needs help navigating their road to career success. Our students are eager to learn from you. If you are interested in offering your time to answer questions, explain your career path, or review a resume, please contact Director of Student Services Kristen Stack at ktepper@umd.edu.
Class/Panel Speaker
Your Time: One to four hours/semester
Your Talent: Share your experience working in your specific industry. Please send a note of interest to Leia Droll Livingston at ledroll@umd.edu.
Alumni Career Host
Your Time: Full or half-day/Fall and/or Spring semester
Your Talent: Host a small group of students (up to 5) in your office to let them see a day in the life and hear about career opportunities in a specific company/industry.
Alumni Event Host
Your Time: Variable.
Your Talent: Utilize your love of networking and planning skills to assist the MAPP+D Alumni Network with ideas for hosting and promoting new events for alumni.
Career & Internship Fair
Graduates work worldwide in various professions. The annual Architecture, Planning, Preservation, and Real Estate Development Career and Internship Fair connects alumni with students and young alumni each spring.
