Career Services for Urban Studies & Planning Students

The University of Maryland and the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation offer comprehensive career and placement services for its students. We boast a 95% job placement rate for our graduates.

The Architecture, Planning, Preservation, and Real Estate Development Career & Internship Fair will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 1:00 - 5:00 PM at the Riggs Alumni Center in College Park, Maryland.

The School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation offers information on writing resumes, cover letters, and preparing for interviews and offers a job fair every spring. The University of Maryland's Career Center offers additional services as well.

The Urban Planning Program offers a presentation on career planning each fall and taps URSP alums to provide resume feedback for our students. Individual assistance is also available by appointment with Kristen Stack.

The University of Maryland switched from the Career4Terps online career management platform to HandshakeStudents, employers and alumni have access to this platform online or through the app. Visit UMD's Career Center Handshake webpage for details.
