EFC is supporting municipalities in the Chesapeake Bay watershed with their Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements. The project focuses on developing a community of practice among municipalities with the goal of helping communities develop practical, tailored solutions for stormwater management, from project planning to securing funding and managing ongoing costs.
EFC, in partnership with the Water Center at the University of Pennsylvania, is providing direct technical assistance to five selected communities of varying sizes to assess existing stormwater plans, financing strategies, and projects. One community will receive specialized support to implement an integrated stormwater and wastewater management plan, utilizing resources and guidance from EPA’s Integrated Planning Framework.
This initiative will empower municipalities with the tools and strategies to advance their stormwater management efforts, leveraging EFC's extensive expertise in environmental finance and community engagement.
