The Global Advisory Board is a new board of experienced and visionary designers, educators and practitioners, charged to evaluate and advance the mission of the Architecture Program.
For the 2023-2024 academic year, the UMD Architecture Program has formed a Global Advisory Board to expand our international network, broaden the scope of our curriculum and further enrich our connections to the global design community. The core responsibility of this board is to participate in a yearly seminar to review the progress of the program and provide feedback in key development areas. These areas include recruiting international students, addressing global issues relevant to the design community, enhancing the faculty network and internationalizing the curriculum.
This board will bring new perspectives from a range of backgrounds, in hopes to complement our sustained history of academic excellence, and complement our regional / national connections at the University of Maryland. The efforts of this board will prepare students for a global market, diversify the student body and uphold the importance of diversity, inclusion, racial justice and equity throughout our program.
